I guess that there are people who are in a hurry to push Don Marostica out of the party. He seems quite far out of step with the Republicans in his district. That quite reasonably calls for a primary.
Readers might want to look at Marostica's Wikipedia page, though. He has the bucks to win as a Republican or as a Democrat. He spent $200K of his own money to get elected the first time.
Given a choice between a Republican Marostica and a Democrat in that seat, I'll take a Republican.
Want to know my thinking? Watch the video.
Though the video was prepared for another reason and for the Senate, the principles are the same. What I am proposing isn't original. The Democrats are doing it to us now:
I would tend to disagree. RINOs are part of the reason we find ourselves in this mess. Democrats typically don't hide their ambitions (some are just more liberal than others). If I cant count on a Republican to vote traditional Republican values (lower taxes, limited government, strong defense), I don't want him using the title "Republican".

Judging by what I've read, it seems like Marostica may jump party ship all on his own. And like it or not, few will be eager to stop him.

Marostica HAD to spend 200,000 of his own money to win that election. He barely beat his opponent, Kevan McNaught, in the primary. Now that the people of Loveland see how liberal Marostica really is, and now McNaught is better well known, Marostica would not win that election again. I hope someone runs a primary against him, but I doubt Marostica is running for re-election. He has made comments about running for State Senate or Governor. The GOP needs to make sure he is not their only candidate for whatever office he seeks.
