The Denver Post is reporting that the real budget shortfall this year and next is $1.4 billion. That, for math challenged, is simply "million" spelled with a "B."
Democrats like to think big. On the national level, "million" is spelled with a "T."
On the Congressional Budget Office news that the national budget shortfall will be more than $2 trillion over the estimate of the Obama administration, Barack Obama was heard to quip "What's a couple of trillion among friends?"
Former Illinois's Senator Ev Dirkson, was heard to mutter from his grave "A trillion here and a trillion there and before long you are talking about real money."
If you have ever worked on an ultra secret "black" program, you will know that every "black" program has a "black budget." We hear that the Treasury Department is going to print so much money that they have moved the green ink budget into the black world.
Black ops always have code names and those code names are shorted to three letter abbreviations. The abbreviation that they are using for ink purchases is IFL. No one could tell me what the expansion of those letters might be.
The Obama campaign theme was "Change." No one told the American people that our children's inheritance would be reduced to pocket change.
I did see a bumper sticker that said, "The only change will be the change left in your pocket."
