With the not-so-hot economy, thieves resort to more brazen tactics. Last Saturday, one of my coworkers experienced a robbery. The thief stole her purse.
My coworker visited a bank in the Denver metropolitan area. She then drove out of the lot onto the street, where she stopped at a red light. Someone opened her door, grabbed her purse (which was sitting on the passenger seat), and was gone immediately. She lost her driver's license, credit cards, and the $600 in cash that was her rent money.
Please pass this information on to women and men who carry items in their car. Remind them to keep their doors locked while driving. Following this simple advice could help keep you or your loved ones safe from an event such as these.
