OK, so I couldn't stay away from politics, but this is too good to pass up.
The state is projected to be $631 million short next year. That is 9% of the budget and is happening because of the downturn in the economy. Keep in mind that Ref C will still be in effect and that the state will be collecting the unconstitutional property tax.
What if Amendment 59 had passed? If that had happened, the carefree legislature would have simply raised taxes by 10% and gone on spending.
