With election day tomorrow, it is time for many closing arguments on the campaign. Several good interviews appeared in the latter half of last week presenting closing arguments on the issues.
First, Jon Caldara had an hour interview with the 54 campaign. This measure disallows campaign contributions from sole-source contractors to the politicians who oversee these contracts.
Another interesting Jon Caldara interview from last week was with Penn Pfiffner of Strike A Better Balance in opposition to 59. 59 is the Andrew Romanoff-Cary Kennedy TABOR-killing amendment. Polling puts this issue within the margin of error. If one wants to keep limited governmental spending in Colorado, please consider contacting your friends in opposition to 59.
Republican Senate Candidate Bob Shaffer also appeared on radio last week. According to this weekend's Denver Post, Bob Shaffer's race against Mark Udall is within the margin of error. The actual voter turnout will be important in this race.
Last, but certainly not least, the presidential race is still competitive in Colorado. Even though the national media is writing off Colorado, Sarah Palin will be in Colorado Springs today, and John McCain plans to have a rally in Grand Junction tomorrow. Of course, the recent revelation of Barack Obama's desire to bankrupt the coal industry can only help John McCain in coal states such as Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Tomorrow, the wildly inconsistent polling from this election cycle will end, and the only poll that counts will occur tomorrow. Vote early and often...
