For Immediate Release:                                                 Media Contact: Amber Glus July 16, 2008                                                                                                (720) 219-2023   Jeff Crank Announces ‘Dogs for Jeff Crank’ Coalition Jeff Crank opposes Lamborn -- would have voted for the Animal Fighting Prohibition Act   COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Jeff Crank, Republican candidate for Congress in Colorado’s Fifth Congressional District, today announced his ‘Dogs for Jeff Crank’ coalition.   “Unlike Doug Lamborn, I believe that dog fighting should be a crime,” said Crank. “I would have stood with Wayne Allard in opposition to individuals such as Michael Vick who exploit dogs for these awful purposes.  Transporting dogs across state lines for purposes of dog fighting is simply wrong.”   Many dog owners denounced Doug Lamborn’s inexplicable opposition to the legislation to ban transporting dogs across states lines for purposes of dog fighting.  Their dogs aren’t pleased either.  Jack O’Dell, a Yellow Labrador Retriever, said, “Anyone who supports dog fighting does not deserve to be in Congress.”  (Note:  OK.  The dog didn’t really say that, but if he could, he would.  You get the idea.)   The ‘Dogs for Jeff Crank’ coalition is made up of dogs that support Jeff’s stance against dog fighting. The coalition will kick off its organization with a gathering at 12:00 p.m. today.
