About two months ago, we wrote a very critical essay about Representative Terrance Carroll. Our criticism still stands: he used extremely poor judgment when dealing with the issue of judicial accountability.
Even so, we have had cause to rethink his service as a legislator.
We recently attended a meeting of Republicans who care very much about education. They were effusive in their praise of Representative Carroll's support of the Charter School movement and opposition to his party's attempts to emasculate it. In fact, they were so positive that we felt a little guilty about our failure to include that information in our first essay.
We sat there quietly and hoped no one present had read our first essay, resolving to acknowledge his very positive record on school choice at some future time. Now is a good time.
Our mistake!
